Is there magic in water? Does the water in your body affect your emotions? If so, how can we use this magic to improve our happiness level. I do know that when I can stay in the presence of feeling gratitude for all that I have and am, I am joyous - regardless of what's going on outside me. It's just getting back there when I'm low that's difficult. What if there is a way to use water to achieve that. Read below. And stay tuned! --Stephanie

Your morning thought for the day

When you drink the water, remember the spring.

-- Chinese Proverb

We have a fascinating and eye-opening report from our publisher today discussing a new book that reveals some scientific discoveries that could change your life. There is so much we don't know, but today's story is sure to prompt reaction from those who are curious about how people relate to each other and their environment.

IT'S IN THE WATER

by Lee Simonson

What you are about to read may sound bizarre and preposterous. You may not believe it. You might even laugh.

However, the implications are enormous and may change the way you behave and think about yourself and others. In fact, in several years, the world might look back at this moment in time and mark this as a turning point in understanding some of the mysteries of the universe.

New discoveries, of course, are made every day. But very few change the way we emotionally relate to each other and the natural world around us. We have been raised to think of ourselves as individuals with the power to master and tame the resources of the Earth.

So what do we know today that we didn't know yesterday? Here it is: Water can see, hear, and feel human emotions and intentions. It also knows the difference between good and evil. That's right -- water -- the stuff you drink and bathe in.

A little known Japanese scientist, whom we suspect will become very well known in the not too distant future, has proven this with pictures. Using special high speed photography, Dr. Masaru Emoto has discovered that crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes when specific concentrated thoughts or images are directed toward them -- almost as if the water was acting as a recording device.

He found that water from clear springs and water that has been exposed to loving words -- spoken or written -- shows brilliant, complex and colorful snowflake patterns. In contrast, polluted water or water exposed to negative thoughts and energy formed incomplete or non-existant crystals.

So, why would anyone care about water changing its chemical composition in response to our emotions or intentions? The answer is obvious: Humans are 70% water. You've probably heard of the term "living waters". If water can receive and transmit positive or negative energy -- if it can instantly change depending on the emotional environment it is next to, almost as if it were "alive" -- then the world will awaken to a mind-boggling new paradigm that will impact our personal hea! lth and well being.

It will also put us on the path of environmental renewal and amazingly, world peace. For example, scientists have forever pondered why people who are in love feel differently than people who are abused or neglected. What was the scientific explanation for the euphoria -- the body chemistry that caused people in love to feel more alive?

More puzzling are cases involving blood transfusions and of recipients seeing images of places they had never been before or past memories that weren't theirs. Sometimes transfusions have been known to cause changes in personality. As Dr. Emoto might say -- it's all in the water.

This probably isn't new to anyone who believes in holistic health or has read philosophic work which has been written throughout the ages. For example, there are thousands of references to water in the Bible.

Even Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit." (John < BR>3:5) Has anyone ever wondered, for example, why water is used as the medium for baptism?

Now, for the first time, we can actually SEE the evidence -- through photographs -- that we can change ourselves and the world through the power of positive intentions and actions, particularly love and gratitude. Dr. Emoto has studied and experimented with water for years and found that the spoken and written words "love" and "gratitude" caused the most significant changes to water chemistry, causing the most beautiful crystals to be created.

Amazingly, water even changed when the written word "love" was placed on a water container. And it's not just words, but music as well. When water was exposed to classical music it resulted in beautiful and well formed crystals. In contrast, the water exposed to violent heavy metal music resulted in fragmented and malformed crystals at best.

Dr. Emoto's experiments also revealed that positive expressions such as "Let's do it!" created attractive well formed crystals, while negative and demeaning orders like "Do it!" barely formed any crystals at all.

As Dr. Emoto says in his book, The Hidden Messages in Water: We all know that words have an enormous influence on the way we think and feel, and that things generally go more smoothly when positive words are used. However, up until now we have never been able to physically see the effect of positive words.

Words are an expression of the soul. And the condition of the soul is very likely to have an enormous impact on the water that composes 70% of our body. People who are in good health are also generally in good spirits. Indeed, a healthy spirit most comfortably resides in a healthy body.

In reviewing Dr. Emoto's book, the editor of Naturally Well Today, Marcus Laux, stated: As with Galileo, Newton and Einstein, Dr. Emoto's clear vision helps us see ourselves and our universe differently. Science and spirit unite, resulting in a profound and undeniable quantum leap in how we view our world, and how we can reclaim our health and create peace.

Are these revelations the next step in our understanding of just how simple it is to create health and peace? Does expressing positive and loving thoughts, and performing acts of kindness and gratitude, actually change our body chemistry and those around us? Is water the physical substance -- the common denominator -- that links each of us, along with our connection to Mother Earth and the entire universe?

The results of Dr. Emoto's thought provoking research will have wide implications and will be the subject of more experiments and discussions.! There will be skeptics, while others will say that what Dr. Emoto has discovered only confirms what common sense, and living a good life, has already told us: That the power of love and appreciation -- the gratitude for the people and world around us -- can lead to two things: Peace of mind and Peace on Earth. What a wonderful and inspirational message for everyone, especially during this Christmas season of 2004!
