Don't
Deal in Negatives.
Thou
shalt not "Thou shalt not. "
Now
that's a Double Negative if I ever saw one.
Do
as I say, not as I do.
No
Negatives. So there! |
|
In
other words, shalt not's and can'ts have to go. Success comes
from saying "I can" and then doing it; from moving from negative
to positive self
esteem.
Every
time you use negatives about what you are able to do, you reinforce
the subconscious programming that you learned as a child of
two: "NO!"
Breaking
the habit of low self esteem, of talking negatively about yourself
(and to yourself), your habits, your life, and life in general
takes time, persistence and practice. (Look at all the practice
you've had developing those habits.) Whenever you hear yourself
running negatives (whether in your head or out loud), notice
how you feel. Then create an affirmation that is opposite to
that negative, and say it (proudly, as if you really believe
it -- after awhile you will) twentyfive times. Notice how differently
you feel.
For
instance:
If
the negative thought is:
"I
couldn't possibly earn that much,"
you
could make your opposing affirmation:
$$ "I can earn that
much and more; and I will." $$
